DMOD 2021: SETTING THE TABLE FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING

“Setting the Table for 3d Printed Affordable Housing” is an exploration of a nascent technology for the built environment. Using a 3D concrete printer this exhibition showcased the design talent of local student designers. The exhibition included works designed by students, such as coffee tables, cocktail tables, dining tables, and side tables. Students used 3d modeling and parametric design to 3d print their table out of mortar using our robotic printer. During the exhibition, we 3d printed elements of various projects we were working on at the time for all to see. It was our first major event and served as our first opportunity to show the community our 3d printing process.
